When converting a picture into a 3D custom bricks, our design colleagues first need to create a model through 3D modeling. Therefore, choosing a perfect photo is of great importance! We understand that it can be quite challenging to select the right image. Also, to ensure that the final generated effect is closer to reality, we have summarized the following five tips for the images you submit for generation. We hope you will read them carefully, and ultimately, you can get the satisfactory 3D custom bricks you want.

1. For the object to be generated, it's best to have a front-facing close-up and a full-body photo.

Upload a complete front-facing photo where the subject is clear and unobstructed. Try to make it a close-up full-body photo with an aspect ratio of 3:2. In this way, the effect of the custom bricks model will be the most complete.

2. Avoid large areas of shadows on important parts like the face or body!

For the main subject of the generated image, avoid large areas of shadows and dark colors, especially on the face and body. These can disrupt the system's ability to generate the correct colors and shapes. So, try to use images where the face has no shadows as much as possible.

3.Avoid poor lighting and dim light sources, as they may cause color differences in the generated custom bricks models.

Different light sources can change the color of the subject in the photo. For example, the yellow light sources indoors (such as chandeliers), the blue light sources (such as computer screens), the streetlights and neon lights outdoors at night, all of these can cause varying degrees of color differences in the skin tone of the photographed subject. Therefore, to ensure that the photo is taken with natural light is the key to presenting the most natural colors of the custom bricks models.

4.The background of the photo must form a contrast with the subject.

There are millions of colors in digital photos, while the colors of the bricks of our custom bricks models are limited. If the colors of the background and the subject are similar, the background recognition system may mix them up. So, there should be a clear distinction between the subject and the background, and the background should be kept as clean as possible. In this way, the background system will be able to identify and generate the object more easily.

5.Provide multiple photos from various angles

You can upload multiple pictures and also add several close-up photos of partial details. This will help our designers better understand the details of your pet, enabling them to create a custom bricks model that meets your expectations.

TIPS: The way your pet acts coquettishly is really adorable! However, we also need a front-facing photo.

SoBricks has the ability to transform one of your pictures into a 3D custom bricks model. Therefore, we need a picture where the entire subject can be clearly identified. Although it's lovely to see your dog rolling on the grass or running and playing, a photo that's easy to recognize may result in a more complete 3D custom bricks model.

We hope that after reading this article, it will assist you in selecting the most suitable photo and help you start your journey of assembling custom bricks as soon as possible!
